KENNETH HJALMAR CARL CARLSON December 6, 1948 - May 8, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Ken was predeceased by his parents Carl and Lil. He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth, sisters Gail, Carol, Joan and brother Len, sister-in-law Diane (Jerry). He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews Kathy, Cheryl, John, Joanne, Shelley, Sheila, Cory, Alyson, Tim, Jackie, Laurie, Craig and their families. Ken was in the construction trade and a past member of the Elks. He loved his home and spent many summers at camp on Lake of the Woods. Honorary pallbearers are Greg, Muriel Shields, Steve, Darlene Sydor, Terry McKellar, Carolle Makarow, Cory McCrindle, Tom Znamerowski, Tim Znamerowski, Craig Townsend and Ed, Inis Melnick. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. We will gather on Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's United Church, Keewatin to reminisce and celebrate Ken's life. Liz would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Rush and the team from the transplant clinic, Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg for their wonderful care and support. A special thank you to the ICU team, St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
