Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE STELLA FONTAINE Peacefully surrounded by family Marie Fontaine of Sagkeeng First Nation passed away on May 14, 2013, at the age of 95 years. Wake service will be held at Curtis and Connie Fontaine's residence on North Shore Road, Sagkeeng First Nation from May 15 to May 17, 2013. A Celebration of Marie's life will be held at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Sagkeeng First Nation, MB on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Marie leaves to mourn, her passing sons Harry, Eugene (Kathy) and Curtis (Connie); daughters Virginia, Rita and Joan (Doug); sisters Felicite and Cecile, daughters-in-law Muriel and Wanda, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Philip, parents Maurice and Sarah, sons Ramie, Rudy (Rita), and Allan, sisters Christina, Elize, Rosie and Alva, brothers Bernard and Edward. Marie was born August 17, 1917 and was the oldest member of Sagkeeng First Nation. The family would like to acknowledge "Lil Phil", her grandson who had a special place in her heart and who stayed with his gran and always took time to come and visit her. "I Am With You Still" I give you this one thought to keep, I am with you still-do not weep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush. I am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone. I am with you still in each new dawn. A sincere thank-you goes out to the staff of the George M. Guimond Care Home for the care they gave Marie.
