Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA SAU YUK YOUNG (nee MAK) Suddenly, but peacefully, on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, Anna passed away at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband Kem Young (December 18, 1996), mother and sister. Anna was the dear mother to Shirley (Lawrence) Mark, Stephen (Bonnie) Young, Sandra (Raymond) Pang, Maria (Peter)* Yu, Joyce (John) Lim, and Nancy (Ross) Taylor. In her passing she leaves to mourn, but to cherish her memory 20 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and will be sorrowfully missed by many extended relatives and very dear friends. She was born February 16, 1929 in the city of Ton-Lau, China. Anna immigrated to Canada with her family in 1958. After working at Wah-Hing Grocery in Winnipeg's Chinatown for many years, she retired in the late 1990s. Anna enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought her a smile. Her favourite pastime included playing Mahjong two or three times a week with her friends. She was a kind, considerate, loving mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend and we shall miss her dearly. Visitation Thursday, May 23, 2013, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., interment Brookside Cemetery.
