RUTH ELAINE NANSON 1930 - 2013 Ruth Elaine Nanson of Kamloops, BC, passed away on May 9, 2013 at 82 years of age. Ruth is survived by her children Diane Zeller of Calgary, AB, Christine Zeller of Victoria, BC, Judy (Brian) Baird of San Ramon, CA, Clifford (Shelley) Zeller of Winnipeg, MB, and Victoria (Lou) Dumesnil of Chilliwack, BC. Ruth is also survived by grandchildren Michael (Connie) Taylor, Scott (Patrice) Taylor and Denise (Mike) Silva, as well as her great-grandchildren Haley, Erica, Adriana and Terry, brothers James (Joan) Nanson and Stewart (Noreen) Nanson. Ruth Nanson passed away peacefully at the Royal Inland Hospital on May 9, 2013. Ruth was born and raised in Kamloops, BC. She attended St. Ann's Academy and graduated from Kamloops High School in 1948. After completing secretarial college in the 1950s, Ruth began her career with CBC Radio in Winnipeg, MB. Married in 1954, Ruth, a devoted mother, raised five children. She enjoyed singing in the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, playing the piano, baking, and sewing. Ruth relocated to Vancouver Island in 1968 to spend many years in beautiful Victoria. She actively participated in church activities, and began work as a church secretary. After retirement, Ruth returned to Kamloops and spent her final years in her hometown. A Graveside Service has taken place at the Hillside Cemetery, 750 Notre Dame Dr., in Kamloops, BC.
