PETER ROSS HALLOCK December 29, 1945 May 20, 2013 We are saddened to announce the passing of Peter Ross Hallock on Monday, May 23, 2013 at the Foothills Medical Centre, from complications of heart surgery. Peter was born December 29, 1945 in Winnipeg, MB to Jerry and Mina Hallock. Peter started his career as an electrician with McCaine Electric. He spent several years at Honeywell before joining the Health Sciences Centre eventually becoming the Director of Maintenance. Peter was the Facilities Manager at Lions Centre, Remand Centre and Polo Park Shopping Centre. In 2002, Peter moved to Calgary and began a successful career as a Facilities Project Manager with Fortis Alberta. In January 2013 be began a contract with Westmount Charter School, which he said was the best job of his career. He loved the children and staff. Peter was President of IFMA, and an active member of Springs Church Calgary. Peter was preceded in death by his parents Mina and Jerry, and his in-laws Dorothy and Kenneth Jackson. Peter is survived by his loving wife Gayle, son Jeff (Sandra), daughter Shannon D'Ignazio, daughter Sheila Sousa (David) and grand-children Kristian, Matthew, Peyton and father Marcello D'Ignazio, Kalen and Aidan Sousa, sister Linda Koley (Lawrence), brother Jerry (Beverly), brother Donald, brother Jim (Marilyn), brother-in-law Ron Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Leon Fontaine to officiate. Arrangements entrusted to McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Springs Church Calgary Building Fund.
