Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET JESSIE SIM It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Jessie Sim at the Victoria Hospital on May 18, 2013 at the age of 77. Jessie was predeceased by her father Alfred Sim in 1975 and her mother in 1997. Left behind to cherish Jessie's memory are Steve and Anne Marie Fedeniuk. Jessie and Anne Marie met in 1950 while attending St. Mary's Academy and forged a lifelong friendship. Jessie was a special Aunt to Anne Marie's and Steve's children: Rose (Mark), Steve (Sheryl), Laurie (Don), Tom, Janet, Claire (Jon) and a Great-Aunt to their children. They will all miss her smile and laughter at "our crazy family gatherings". Also left to cherish Jessie's memory are her cousin Malcolm (Sarah) and many friends and neighbours. She will be especially missed by her special friend "Lady". Jessie was a proud Alum of St. Mary's Academy and a lifelong member of St. Ignatius Parish. Jessie was employed with MTS from 1959 to 1987. She began her career at MTS as a commercial sales representative and was the marketing sales office supervisor when she retired in 1987. Jessie enjoyed travelling. Her favourite pastimes were needlecraft, knitting and reading. Cremation has taken place, as per Jessie's wishes. A memorial service and a funeral mass in celebration of Jessie's life will be held Thursday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford at Corydon. A reception will follow in the church hall and then a burial at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. "May God Bless you Jessie, and keep you in His care always." Fear no more the heat o' the sun No the furious winter's rages; Thou thy worldly task hast done, Home art gone and ta'en they wages: Golden lads and girls all must, As chimney-sweepers, come to dust. I first knew Jessie and her mum when I used to visit my grandma on Wardlaw Street.... we became friends and often when my mother couldn't find me, I'd be at the Sims sitting in their closet and trying on shoes. I was very fond of them and loved visiting their home. - Posted by: Barbara Mitchell (Neighbour/friend) on: Nov 12, 2016

Jessie and I lost touch over the years and after I moved to Ontario. A few years ago she found my ph. no. and began calling me at Christmas time. A wonderful surprise for me! Then I 'lost' her again. I am saddened by her passing; a good, good woman and friend. - Posted by: Terry Dilger (Friend from St. Ignatius Parish) on: May 29, 2013
