LILLIAN LUSHAW (nee MILLER) Born January 8, 1933 Lil passed away peacefully from cancer at home in the early hours of May 24, 2013 with her family by her side. She is survived by Walter her husband of 61 years, daughters Shelley (Michael) and Kimberley and her "Sweetie" grand dog Sasha. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Sophie Miller, sister Pauline Czuy, and sister-in-law Myrt Miller; also by her little dog of 19 years, Tuffy. Lil resided in Brandon until 1972 when she and her family moved to Winnipeg. She worked for several years at both McKenzie Seeds and Winnipeg Photo, but was primarily a homemaker. She was an excellent cook and baker and produced many memorable holiday meals. Lil also enjoyed gardening and feeding all wild animals and strays that found their way into the yard. The family sincerely thanks the Home Care Team that supported her during her illness, especially Angela and Amber. Thanks also to friend Helen for her emotional and spiritual support. A private family service will take place on May 28, in Brandon. Father Michael Tkachuk will officiate with interment at Brandon Municipal Cemetery. • I have never met Mrs. Lushaw. I work with her daughter Shelley who is one of the most respectable, kind and witty people I have ever met. To raise a daughter as wonderful as Shelley, Mrs. Lushaw must have been wonderful woman. My condolences to Shelley and her family. - Posted by: Lyndsy Stephen (Co-worker/ Friend) on: May 30, 2013
