MARILYN MAE NICOL On May 23, 2013 surrounded by many caring friends and family, Marilyn left us at the age of 66 after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. She is survived by best friend and fiancè Graham McVicar, daughters Katrina (Drew) and Tahara, brother Robert (Diane), and sister Barbara (Robert). She was predeceased by her parents William and Eleanor Nicol. Marilyn grew up and spent much of her life in Winnipeg, but found her real peace and community in Niverville, where she resided until her departure. Although she faced much adversity and hardship in her life, Marilyn was an inspiration to all who came to know her with her capacity to overcome obstacles in building a life for herself, while always remaining determined and hopeful throughout. A service honouring Marilyn will be held at Community Fellowship Church in Niverville on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
