ROSE DOROTHY GIBSON (nee SLOWENKO) It is with our deepest sadness that we have to say goodbye to our precious mother and loving wife, Rose Gibson at the age of 84 years. Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on May 30, 2013, mom went into the Lord's hands. She will be forever remembered by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Gibson, daughters Lori Ireland (Shane) and Cindy Gibson (Richard), grandsons Richard Ireland and Cameron Lernout and brother Jim Slowenko (Donna) of Prince Albert. Mom loved life and always had a smile for everyone. Mom and dad spent the past 26 years living both in Winnipeg, MB and Mesa, Arizona, where she had many friends and was an active member in the community. Her laughter, kindness and love will be greatly missed. Acting upon our mother's wishes, there will be no celebration of life service. God saw you were tired and took you to rest. We love you.

  • 3 years ago today was the saddest day of my life mom. A lot has been going on since you have been gone. I am sure you know that we lost Richard this year and I hope you are together making him your famous borscht and swiss chard rolls. Love you. - Posted by: Cindy (daughter) on: May 30, 2016

  • It was 2 years ago today that you were taken away from us mom, but you are not gone, you are forever in my heart and soul. I have learned so much from you and I know you are watching over and protecting us. I miss you so much and think about you every day. I know we will be together again some day. Love you. - Posted by: Cindy Gibson (daughter) on: May 30, 2015

  • For many years, my family lived next door to Rose and Ron's on Bond St. in Transcona. My parents, Allan and Madeline (who ended up living in Victoria, BC, for the last several years of their lives), my brother Al (or Lanny), and I often talked about what great neighbours the Gibsons were. Rose is remembered fondly as a cheerful, kind former neighbour. - Posted by: Francis (Frank) Bird (Former neighbour) on: Nov 11, 2013

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. Rose was always so welcoming when we dropped in to see you both in Mesa. I will always remember her. - Posted by: Joyce Nykoluk (Friend) on: Jun 22, 2013

  • Our Condolences. We will always remember the times at Grand Beach. - Posted by: Brent and Lori Brooks (friend) on: Jun 02, 2013

  • Our Deepest Sympathy. Sorry to hear of the loss of your wife/mother. We will miss seeing Rose walking in the hallways. Remember Rose is in God's hands and in no more pain. I will light a candle for Rose today during mass in my church. God Bless You All. - Posted by: Deanna and Cec Pringle (neighbor Suite 418) on: Jun 02, 2013
