Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS (EMPEY) ARNETT July 22, 1917 - May 11, 2013 Phyllis passed away in Victoria Hospice. A Winnipeg girl, she cared for several brothers and Edith, her mother who had rheumatoid arthritis. She worked as a sales clerk, accounting office manager, and later in Vancouver Eaton's picture framing department where her passion for art and a keen sense of detail and style showed through. Phyl had an indominable spirit and will, loved her family deeply and withstood several personal health challenges to bounce back and take on life again. Travelling, dinner parties and happy adventures were her passions. Predeceased by Frank Empey, Richard Arnett and son Bruce Empey in 1993. Survived by David and Douglas (sons), Alex, Mariah and Emily (grandchildren). Donations can be sent to The Arthritis Society, www.arthritis.ca.
