ANNE FISH Quietly on May 10, 2013, Anne Fish passed away after a valiant six month struggle with cancer. She will be forever cherished and remembered by her son Ron, his four children, her sister Ollie (Mel), brothers Joe (Antonette) and Tony (Ruby), her sister-in-law Anne, and her companion of 25 years, Clarence Guth. In 1950, Anne moved to Trail, BC to live with her brother, Van and it was there that she met her future husband Murray Fish. They were married in 1951 and settled in Winnipeg where Murray was stationed with the Air Force. There Ron was born and after six years, they were transferred to France for three years. Returning to Winnipeg in 1960, Anne began working in the food and beverage industry at private golf courses and the Winnipeg Winter Club. Anne worked in this industry for over 40 years in ever-increasingly responsible positions and made many good friends like Mary, Frank and Hermann who will always remember her fondly. A year after the passing of her husband in 1987, Anne met Clarence and a friendship and romance blossomed between the two. It was through this relationship that Anne found a second family with Clarence, his daughters: Laura (husband Rob, son Ryker) and Donna (husband Bob, sons Brandon and Noah). This family became as important and as close as her own. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to her favourite charity: Faith Lutheran Church of St. Vital, 1311 Dakota St., Winnipeg, MB R2N 1V8. Services for Anne will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Monday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m.
