Survived by his brother Gerald in Winnipeg, Laurie's birthplace; sister Yvonne of Toronto and sons Eric and Chris; daughter Rachael (Neil) of Sechelt, BC, parents to granddaughter Tanna (Dave) of Port Hardy and grandson Alex (Melissa) of Vancouver; son Matt (Star) of Washington State, parents to granddaughters Sara, Katie and Nicole and grandson Cameron; daughter Louann of Idaho, mother to grandson Adam; nephew Tom's surviving wife, Anne of Winnipeg and daughter Dianne; nephew Gary (Debbie) of Secret Cove and daughters Alison and Kathleen and son Michael; niece Maureen (Brian) of Calgary; nephew Walter of Winnipeg and daughter Jodi-Lee and son Robert. Loved and missed by family, Laurie will also be fondly remembered by many others, including students from his years of teaching and coaching high school in the U.S.A., British Columbia and the Sunshine Coast, and members of the Sechelt Lions, of which Laurie was a past president. The family feels heartfelt gratitude for all associated with Totem Lodge, where Laurie's care was "above and beyond". Thank you to Dr. McDowell. No service.
