Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW RAYMOND (RAY) MCTAVISH May 20, 1932 - May 28, 2013 We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, at 81 years of age, after a long and courageous battle with heart and lung disease. Ray is survived by his three daughters: Sylvia (David) Kovnats, Elaine (Howard) Martyn and Maureen (Robert) Anderson; grandsons: Michael, Christopher and Samuel; granddaughters: Jennifer, Rebecca and Victoria; brother William (Debbie), and very special friend Helen Mazur as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ray was predeceased by his parents Allan and Margaret, wife Edythe and brother Alvin (Margaret). Ray will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, loyalty and willingness to help a friend or family member in need. His home was always open. Ray was a proud trucker who devoted years of loyal service to the trucking industry where he enjoyed many friends. Ray loved to share his trucking experiences with his family and friends. We would like to thank Dr. M. Coodin, the doctors and staff at St. Boniface Hospital and Homecare for their efforts, support and compassion. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. A service will be held Thursday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. His burial will take place Thursday, June 6 at 3:00 p.m. at Miami Cemetery, south side of Provincial Highway 23, one half mile east of Miami, MB.
