I spent my childhood summers at our cottage at Falcon Lake, three doors down from the Strikes. Joe and Jane were dear and close friends to my parents, Alec and Jessie Keller, and I grew up playing with their son Chris, who was my best lake buddy. I have so many fond memories it's impossible to recount. My condolences. - Posted by: Lisa Keller (friend) on: May 13, 2019

We are deeply saddened to here of "grandpa Joe's" passing. I grew up on Manitoba near Sinclair & helped out in the store. Many years later - whenever I ran into "grandpa" Joe at Superstore, he always gave me a huge hug along with his infectious smile! Rest in peace grandpa Joe! How sad to hear of the passing of Mr Strike. What wonderful memories I have of him during the time your family operated the store. After growing up and moving away it was always nice to see your Dad when I was home visiting my parents. He always had a smile. Thank you for sharing him with not only me but all the families in the old neighborhood. He will be missed. - Posted by: Kathy Ewatski-Foret (former neighbour) on: Jun 08, 2013
