PETER ROGALSKY It is with great sadness that we announce the very unexpected passing of our Pops, Peter Rogalsky on February 17, 2013 in Lethbridge, AB. He died peacefully with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his loving wife Kaye (nee Harris/Watson), parents, Gerhard and Justina Rogalsky, and his sister Ann Isaac. He will be greatly missed by his brother Paul and his wife Eleanore and family, his brother in-law Abe, Kay's children, Midge, Peter, Trish (Randy), Sue (Rob), Joy (Woody) and Perry. Also numerous grandchildren, great-grand-children and of course his faithful companion Skippy. Pete met Kaye in 1986, they married in 1987 and spent 21 wonderful years together before mum passed in 2008. They loved camping throughout western Canada especially in the mountains and this is where their ashes will be spread, together once again. Pops spent many summers in Lethbridge visiting with Sue and Rob, their children Krisjen, Sara, Kayla, and grandson Austin. Another favourite pastime was eating at the Olive Garden with granddaughters Lisa and Tiff and great-grandsons, Dylan and Dustin. Skippy has since found a new home with Dylan and Dustin and takes turns sleeping with them at night. Pete was a busy kind of guy and was always working on some sort of project. He had three flyer routes at one time and still had time to do odd jobs with most of his neighbours and friends. He recycled with a passion and could be found riding his bike up and down the back lanes in St. James looking for scrap metal, dropped coins, bottles and cans. If it wasn't tied down, he considered it a lucky find. Some weird items often showed up at his house including a 6 foot stuffed Ape and a motion detector clucking hen that sat proudly on top of his fridge. Pops was known to love color, the brighter the better. He was often seen in his florescent orange sweat pants, his favourite Hawaiian shirts and this even included his choice of house color which was a lovely shade of Raspberry !! A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church, 205 Roseberry Street. Feel free to bring along a special memory to share. We'll miss you Pops ! Toot Toot !
