FLORENCE MCDOUGALL 1915 - 2013 Peacefully on June 10, 2013 surrounded by her family, Florence passed away to be with her husband John. Left to mourn her passing is her daughter June (Luigi), brother William Nesbitt, grand-children Leo, Rose-lee and Kevin (Caroline), four great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, husband John, three brothers and one sister. Mom was born in Brandon MB in 1915 but made her home in Winnipeg. She volunteered for many years at the Health Sciences Centre and Selkirk Mental Hospital where she brought joy and smiles to many patients. In her later years she enjoyed getting together with friends to play bingo and shuffleboard. On top of knitting special items for family, she also loved her family dinners. Florence had many friends that visited her on a regular basis but special thanks to Pam, Shelly, Lorraine, Iris and Linda who spent many hours doing activities and laughing with Florence. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to service. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Lion's Manor Personal Care Home, 2nd floor for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
