WILLIAM EDWARD MOORE It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of William (Bill) Moore on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Ste. Anne Hospital, at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; children, Wayne, Sheryl (Craig), Darlene (Darren) and Jamie (Marianne); grandchildren, Zac, Carson, Ainsley, Rhayne, Whynter, Rhaven, Kelly and Saralyn. Also surviving are his sisters, Marlene (Dave) and Anne (Dennis); brother Doug (Val); sister-in-law Colette as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Stratford and Rosaline; stepmother, Elsie, and brother, Don. William was better known to his family and friends as Bill. Bill was born and raised in Morris, Manitoba on April 7, 1950. He met the love of his life and soul mate, Elaine, in 1968 and married in 1969. They raised their family in the town of Ste Genevieve and later moved to Transcona in 1987. He loved hunting, camping and fishing out at Nutimik Lake with family. Bill worked most of his life with Nelson River Construction until he took sick with emphysema. He was fortunate enough to be a candidate for a double lung transplant which he underwent in July 2001 and a second time in July 2003 as the first one rejected. Every day was a gift from that moment on. From the many excursions that mom planned for dad: from picnics, family gatherings, drives out to the lake, casinos, movies, and shopping, you name it they did it. He loved watching the grandkids out by the pool, watching their sports (hockey, soccer, baseball) and enjoyed being with family. He also made time for the old boys club at Salisbury. Bill will always be remembered for his gentle nature, sense of humour, and smile. We can never thank enough the long-time doctors and friends, Dr. Gobeil, Dr. Bshouty and his nurse, Claire; also, the staff at Health Sciences Centre for the many years of care they have given Bill, for the many appointments he had there or hospital stays, as well as recently the services provided by Dr. Bissonnette, Ste. Anne Hospital nurses, Sister Irene and Pastor Lewis. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ste. Anne Hospital. • My sincere condolences for your loss. I first got to know Bill when he was employed at New Flyer. Bill was a super guy, always friendly and helpful. Bill and Elaine were a couple which could never be separated, they were always together; and even during his toughest times he would come to spend his time with Elaine during her lunch break at work, including during the coldest January nights.I know that Bill will be missed but always remembered. I wish his family well. Take care Elaine. Recently retired Tony Zienkiewicz - Posted by: Tony Zienkiewicz (work colleague) on: Jun 26, 2013
