LARRY BOUBARD February 10, 1951 - June 13, 2013 It is with deepest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Larry Wilfred Boubard at the age of 62. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his special companion Lorraine Boubard; his mother Antoinette, brothers: Dennis and Henry; sisters: Sandra (Denny), and Linda (Andre); his children Vernon (Jaclyn), Brenden, Trevor, Toby, Lonnie, Dion (Debbie), Chrissy (Jurgen), Ardel (Todd), and Ruby; 22 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, also nieces, nephews and many cousins. Larry is predeceased by his wife Wendy Stevenson; his dad Wilfred Peter Boubard; sister Bernadette; son-in-law Satch, and his neechi Mark Thompson. Larry was a hard working man that focused on taking care of his family in any way. He has an extended family through the culture as he was a traditional person and served his culture everyday, this is where he found strength and courage to face each day as he battled with diabetes. He always had a smile and loved to laugh, he was generous, caring, and loved his gardening, he also enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends especially his grandchildren whom he loved so much. He enjoyed fishing in the summer and winter, loved watching hockey at home with his sons and grandson. Dad taught us how to be an accepting person with our own individual chats with him, special moments. He always had a positive outlook on life and always said "think and be positive but always smile". We love you DAD, thank you for being you and showing us unconditional love, caring, and sharing everyday. We will always remember you and continue to carry you in our hearts. Wake services at Lorraine Boubard's residence starting Friday, June 14, 2013 on north shore in Sagkeeng, funeral service is on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Turtle Lodge in Sagkeeng. Pallbearers are: Vernon Stevenson, Brenden Stevenson, Adrian Swampy, Nathan Boubard, Todd Yound, Robert Mulholland, Vernon Fontaine and Jurgen Valliquette. Thank you to nurses and staff of Pine Falls Hospital, and a most sincere thank you to Ricky Coyne. • To the family of Larry, my sincerest sympathy for the loss of your dad. To Trevor and Toby, always remember that you had a great and loving dad. He was always so nice whenever he came to school to see you. Trevor I know you cherished the trips to Costco you took with your dad to fill up on groceries(pizza pops), games and clothes. Your dad did a great job raising you kids all by himself, he loved you very much so don't ever forget that. Trevor and Toby we'll all be there with for you as you graduate next week.I'll keep you in my prayers as you go through this tough time. Always keep those good memories close to your heart and never forget how much of a special dad you had.
