REV. GLADYS MARY SPURLL (nee PEART) October 6, 1920 - August 27, 2012 Interment of Ashes, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Cathedral Church of St. John, 135 Anderson Ave., Winnipeg. A brief graveside service will be followed by an opportunity to share memories of the life of Gladys as teacher, mother, and priest in the Anglican Church. Gladys was priest in charge of a six point parish in the Pembina Hills Parishes until her retirement in 1986, then Interim Priest in the St. Andrew's, Bird's Hill, as Honorary Assistant at St. Stephen's and at St. George, Transcona. In 1998, because of ill health, she moved to Montreal, where she continued to assist at services at Christ Church Cathedral, Montreal until shortly before her death in 2012. She celebrated the 30th anniversary of her ordination on November 1, 2011.
