JOANNE OLSEN It is with the deepest of sorrow that we announce the passing of Joanne Olsen, our dear Mother, Grandmother, GG, and Grandma JoJo on June 15, 2013. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her children Wendy and Keith (Catherine), her grandchildren Ryan (Amy), Teri (Ryan), Cori (Jeffrey), Kaleigh, Alex, Ashley and her beloved great grand-children Madilynn, Aubree and Aiden all of whom she loved and was so proud of. Joanne leaves us to be with her soul mate and husband Clifford, her daughter Karen and son-in-law Rodney all of whom she missed deeply and will be so happy to see again. Mom was a woman of so many talents. Her cooking and baking were stuff of legends; her sewing, knitting and crocheting skills were unmatched. She loved to travel, garden, read, and to spend time with family and close friends, especially at her treasured home in Great Falls MB which she along with our father Clifford built with their own hands. She also worked tirelessly to produce so many incredibly beautiful hand knitted dolls for the children going through treatment at CancerCare Manitoba. We wish to thank the incredible staff at the 5th floor Winnipeg Women's Hospital for taking such good care of our mother over these past several weeks. As she was so fond of saying of them "All of these Angels have earned their wings". Wendy and Keith would also like to give special thanks to all of the grandchildren and to Catherine who all sacrificed much time and effort to be with and help Grandma over these past few months, it was not easy but it meant the world to Grandma and to us. We also want to give special thanks to André ("Suk Suk") for all of his love, help and support. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations are given to The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
