NICK GEL It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Gel on Sunday, June 16, 2013. Nick will be missed by his daughter Lisa; son-in-law Ray; grandson Duran, and other family and friends. Nick was predeceased by his loving wife and caregiver, Gisela. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m., St. Anne's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 35 Marcie Street. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Special thanks to Shay, Gail, Cathy, Eline and nurses Tracy, Vilma, Val. "Dad a million times I'll need you, a million times I'll cry. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of me went with you the day God took you home." 204-586-8044

Uncle Nick will always have a special place in my heart. There is a flood of many fond memories of your Dad and Mom and you. He was a special man with a kind heart. I knew your father years and years ago and he was such a kind and gentle man, I then saw him in Deer Lodge when my husband was there. I would sit and talk to your Dad and he would answer with blinks. I am so sorry for your loss I know exactly how you feel. He is with God now and blessed. Dear Lisa, Ray, and Duran, Just a small note to let you know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I remember Uncle Nick as a very special man with a huge heart of gold, always there to help everyone. He was so talented too. We still have the beautiful log clock he made for us hanging on the wall at the cottage, something we will always treasure. Just know Auntie was there with open arms to welcome him.
