VIOLET ELIAS Violet passed away within Pembina Place Personal Care Home on Friday, June 14, 2013. Last rites were given by Rev. Fr. Albert Lalonde. Violet strived to be happy most everyday of her long life. Her wonderful smile greeted everyone she met each day. Although deaf later in life, she had taught herself to lip read and spoke to anyone who would listen. She was predeceased by her father Michael, mother Sophie, brother Edward, sister Nellie and brother Alex. Thanks to home care staff for keeping her safe within her home. Thanks to MBS Inc. staff who have been a friendly visitor, companion and advocate for many years. Special thanks to Mia and Wendy. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, 506 Osborne St. on Monday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral Home & Crematorium 843 Sherbrook Street Condolences: www.bardal.ca

  • So sad to read of Violets passing,My Mother Margaret looked after Violet for many years in which I got to know Violet well,she was a lovely lady always lipstick on and her gloves! she had a great sense of humor and as she was deaf she could always hold a good conversation.Violet loved her Family very much and missed her sister Nellie so much and her Mom.Violet was a great cook and kept her house spotless!
