EVELYN MARIE-ROSE YVONNE PANTEL It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Evelyn who passed away on June 12, 2013 in Calgary, AB at the age of 83. Evelyn was born in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB on July 7, 1929 and raised near Cypress River where she loved to ride horses, play baseball and attend school. She married Allan Tryggvi Arason of Cypress River, MB in 1950 and from that came six children, nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. She loved her family and her ties to them were resilient and everlasting. Evelyn's work life ranged from employment at universities and school boards to selling real estate and running her own bed and breakfast. She enjoyed reading, travel, playing Scrabble, completing crosswords and watching Jeopardy and curling. Evelyn will be incredibly missed by her children; Glen, Dianne (Guy), Lynette, Cindy and Neil (Kelly); her grandchildren Michael (SaraJane), Kristin, Andrea, Leslie, Christine, Jillian, Lindsay, Liam and Charlotte; her great- grandchildren Cameron and Damion; and her sisters, Lillian and Arlette (Pete). Evelyn was predeceased by her sister Helen, husband Allan, son Gary and son-in-law Bob. A private service will be held.
