VERLA MARGARET ROBERTSON (nee MURDOCK) After a brief illness at the age of 45 years, with her family by her side. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Verla was born April 7, 1968 in Fisher River, MB and later moved to Berens River where she later married her husband. She is predeceased by her mother Daisy, brother Kendall, grandparents Stanley and Margaret Jane, and Tache and Clara, also her father-in-law Hughie Sr. and Gemma. She leaves to mourn her husband Hughie John, of 18 years, her children Amber, Leah, Chase, John, Kateri, stepdaughter Brittney, father Andrew, sisters Andrea, Carolyn (Huey), Bonnie, brother Wendall, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Verla lead a faithful Christian life and was devoted to the church. She was a teacher to her children and brought them up believing in their faith and often saying the rosary together as a family. She was a teacher, a member of the school committee and Nathaniel member. She also helped her husband in their retailing business. But most of all she was a loving mother and wife to her children and husband. Verla had a good sense of humour and laughed a lot with her sisters, she also loved to travel with her family. Wake services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28 at the Roman Catholic Church, Berens River, MB. Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lady of the Snow Roman Catholic Church, interment to follow at Berens River Cemetery. Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • The night that my auntie Verla died I had a dream where I was playing hide and seek with my auntie Verla, I remember parts of it like where I found her hiding behind a tree because I seen her peek out. I told my nannie after I woke up, that's how I know I had that dream. I miss you a lot at random times, it hurts to know that you're gone. - Posted by: Kalli (Niece) on: Dec 14, 2021
