Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL LYON LAJOIE Peacefully on June 21, 2013, Daniel passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 68 years. Daniel is survived by his loving wife Gisela; daughters Joanne LaJoie and Renée (Daniel) Baluta; sons Perry and John; grandchildren Chad McIvor and Chantal Aston.; three great grandchildren; sister Laurette (James) Lavallee from Alberta; brothers Jules (Elsie) and Raymond (Lynn). Daniel was a man of few words. A gentle giant with a big heart, always willing to lend a helping hand. He worked at many places including New Flyer Industries and Boeing Canada. He was an avid fisherman and liked working on his cars and taking road trips. He was loved and will be missed by family and friends. A Gathering will be held on Thursday, July 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Daniel's name to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or Winnipeg Harvest. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

I had the pleasure of working with Dan at both Flyer and Boeing. While Dan may have been a quiet man he did have a great sense of humour. He would say the funniest things at just the right time break into a big grin and softly chuckle.
