SUSAN MARIE MACKENZIE (nee MAUTHE) Suddenly on June 25, 2013, Susan MacKenzie, aged 48, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away. Left with her memory are her husband John, brothers Allan (Brenda) and Bob (Linda) Mauthe, sisters-in-law Shona and Vikki MacKenzie, and brother-in-law Alan MacKenzie. "Aunt Sue" will be missed by her nephews Kevin, Brett and Andrew as well as her nieces Lara and Melissa. Susan was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Margaret Mauthe of Killarney, MB and mother-in-law Mary MacKenzie of Winnipeg. Susan was born in Killarney, MB on December 16, 1964. She grew up playing sports and excelled in hockey, fastball and basketball. However her true sporting love was golf. Susan competed in golf both provincially and nationally and was a member of many provincial teams both at the junior and ladies levels. The happiest times of Susan's life were when she was golfing - either at Rossmere Golf Club or on any of the hundreds of other courses she played. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Susan's life in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., Winnipeg, MB, on Wednesday, July 3, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

  • I will always remember Susan mostly for her athletic abilities, but also for her sense of humor. She seemed like such a serious girl, but when the laughs started she was right in there.
