Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALINE MARIE ROSE HERNER (nee LAJEUNESSE) Passed peacefully at Misericordia Place on June 30, 2013, in her 96th year, beloved wife of the late John Peter Herner. Aline was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. Her greatest joy was her four sons, Don (Jeanette), Ken (Linda), Brian (Barbara) and Father Vince. Loving grandmother of Shauna (Tim), Tricia (Dennis), Kristin (David), Andrea (Jeff), Philip (Ali) and Lori (Graham) and great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren. Aline's mother passed away when she was six months of age and she was cared for by her grandparents Louis and Marie Blais in Labret, Saskatchewan. After her father remarried, she returned to Rosetown where she finished her schooling, apprenticed as a seamstress and met her husband. Following the Second World War, Aline and John moved to Camper, MB where they owned and operated the Camper Hotel. Aline and John returned to Winnipeg and continued to work side by side operating Mini Mart stores. Aline was predeceased by her brothers Bruno Lajeunesse and Bob Boyce. A woman of faith, Aline was active in the CWL at the parishes of St. Ignatius and Blessed John XXIII in Winnipeg. Prayers will be held Tuesday, July 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Home, 1442 Main Street. Funeral service from Blessed John XXIII parish at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 3. Memorial donations may be made to Rossbrook House.
