JENNIFER DAWN MCPHERSON October 14, 1971 - May 5, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Jennifer. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two beautiful daughters, Jessica Cook and Victoria McPherson, her mother Betty Anne and stepfather Mike Rourke, her father Larry McPherson and stepmother Peggy; her two sisters Kim McPherson (Don) and Gerri-Lee Pangman (John), brother Pierre Ducharme (Brenda), stepsister Gloria, foster sisters Diana and Cheryl, nieces Corley and Mya, and nephews Russell, Daniel, Michael, Nathanael and Pierre, also her special friend Susan. Jennifer, our star child, was born in Winnipeg and for the last six years she resided in British Columbia where she was very happy to live so closely with nature. Despite the great distance between us she remained connected to all through social media and texting. She loved all who came to know her unconditionally and without reserve. She was creative, athletic, artistic and very spiritual. The light of her eyes shone brightly with her never ending smiles, she had a soft, tender, magical voice that was heightened by the sound of her musical laughter. Jennifer epitomized generosity and would help anyone she could. The sudden, tragic loss of her young life has been felt by many and the pain will take much time to heal for all who loved her. A Wake service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Both the wake and funeral service will be held at Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 548 Home St., Winnipeg with Father Dominique Kerbrat, OMI officiating. Jennifer will be laid to rest with her maternal grandparents and aunties at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Peguis, MB following the Funeral and luncheon. Honorary Pallbearer will be her brother Pierre Ducharme. Another rose has bloomed in Heaven.

  • You were a brave woman to venture out into the wilderness and start a new lifestyle. Your wood chopping skills and boatmanship, hauling in water when the pipes froze, your wonderful unique artwork that touched so many hearts, yet dressing up for dinner and never losing that "girly girl" side of you. You were a true pioneer of all that is good in the world. I am truly sorry you won't get the chance to be all that you could have been. You will be greatly missed by all of us.
