JEAN BIRCH (nee RODEN) Peacefully on June 29, 2013 Jean Birch (nee Roden), at St. Boniface General Hospital. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Dennis in 1999. Left to remember are her children, John (Laury), Chris (Teresa) and Cathy (Scott Sauder). Her grandchildren, Brian, Sam, Emily, Luke, Jasmine, Nicholas, Mckenzie and Rebecca. Jean was born in Keighley, England May 7, 1933, she married Dennis on September 4, 1954, and spent their honeymoon immigrating to Canada just a few days later. She was an English teacher and school librarian with the St. James School Division and taught in several different schools. After she finished teaching, she and Dennis enjoyed travelling and spending their winters in Kissimmee, FL, where they enjoyed their retirement. We want to thank the staff and nurses at St. Norbert Personal Care Home and the staff and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion in these last few months. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Andrews Anglican Church on Friday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m., 2700 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.   • Dear John Chris, Cathy and family, I am so very sorry to read of your Mom's passing. I remember her as such a kind, warm person. She had a big impact on so many childrens lives when she worked in school. Knowing her out of school was a great pleasure for me. Hers was a life well lived and you can remember her wih pride.
