Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I was also born in Winnipeg, but sadly at aged 5 we returned to the UK. I hardly remember Islay, but have always exchanged letters over many years. I loved her as a long lost cousin, & had many a laugh on the phone, so I do know her sense of humour, my one regret is not knowing her personally. I will miss her, even from afar, her letters were always a pleasure to read. At peace now Islay, love to Roy, from Australia. Elva & family. - Posted by: Elva Armstrong (Cousin) on: Jul 10, 2013

  • As children we were the envy of all our friends as she sent us beautiful gifts she and our mam wrote to each other for years then my sister Islay and I took over after mothers death in 1977. I saw her on a flying visit through Winnipeg in 2008 she still looked as beautiful as ever, looking so much like our mam and all the other verrall cousins R.I.P Sandra & Islay x - Posted by: Sandra and Islay from uk (Second cousins) on: Jul 07, 2013
