LOUISA BERNIECE LAIDLAW (nee SEALS) Returns home to Winnipeg for interment next to her husband, the late Robert Laidlaw (1996). Berniece died peacefully at Fox Run retirement home in Gananoque, ON on December 7, 2012. Mother to Stephen (Connie), Blair (Tricia), Linda (Dennis) and Stuart (Fiona), grandmother to Rachel, Sean, Matthew, Emily, Meaghan, Ian, Maggie and Noah, and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her mother Isabella (1982), father Thomas (1935), and brother Mervin (1985), all of Winnipeg, and survived by sister Audrey of Brandon, MB. Born November 29, 1925, in Winnipeg, where she was raised, met Robert and began her family. The oldest of three children, Berniece began working at a young age to support her family, worked hard all her life, and moved extensively with Robert's army career. Berniece loved baseball, Coronation Street, politics and a good laugh. Interment and brief service at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave., Tuesday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. Donations in Berniece's name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
