GLORIA PAULINE HAYWOOD (née COUSINS) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Pauline Haywood on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Gloria died peacefully at the River East Personal Care Home where she lived for the last six years. She will be missed by her loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie and daughter Barbara Ann Hargrove. She leaves to mourn her sisters Marie Black and Dorothy Spearing; children: Bill (children Belinda, Dawn and Trevor); family of Barbara Ann Hargrove (husband Bill, children Jennifer and Michael); Robert (wife Elenore, children Justin [Andrea] and Christopher); Barry (wife Brenda, children Jessica and Laura); Brenda Bedard (husband Henry, children Melissa and Stephanie); and five great-grandchildren, Ivory, Johnathan, Kayleigh, Kendra, and Trenton. Born on Toronto Street in Winnipeg on January 3, 1924, Gloria attended St. Edwards Elementary School from Grades 1 to 8. At 16 years old, she was introduced to Ernie Haywood by Charlie Drumond. Engaged at 17, Gloria and Ernie were married by Monseigneur Raymond at St. Edward's a Church on April 11, 1942. Gloria and Ernie lived on Greene Avenue for 50 years and raised their family there. We would like to thank the River East Personal Care Home for their excellent care and their loving kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A private family service at Green Acres will follow at a later date.
