LES MIDDLETON In tears we watched you dying We watched you fade away, Our hearts were slowly breaking As you fought so hard to stay. You suffered much in silence Your spirit did not bend, You faced the pain with courage Until the bitter end. We sat beside your bedside Our hearts were crushed and sore, We prayed to God to spare you Till we could no more. God looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face, He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. If we could have a lifetime wish And a dream that could come true, We'd pray to God with all our hearts For yesterday and you. There is a place in our hearts, That is yours alone A part of our lives that no one else can own. Love you forever, Anne, Keith and Gail
