LINDA JUNE WARREN (nee SINCLAIR) Linda June Warren, 67, of Portage La Prairie, passed away at home on July 6, 2013 in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Prayers will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Portage La Prairie on Tuesday July 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Eric Giddins officiating. Burial will follow at Portage Hillside Cemetery. Linda was born in Treherne, Manitoba to William and Adeline Sinclair on March 28, 1946. She went to school at Bell School and St. Claude Collegiate and went on to study Psychiatric Nursing at The Manitoba School. Linda is survived by her husband, Gordon Warren. They were married on December 19, 1964 in Winnipeg. After a short trip west, looking for a new place to call home, they returned to Portage, settling in a small house on 10th street where she met her lifelong friend Linda Briggs. Within two years Gordon and Linda would purchase four acres on Island Park and begin in earnest the work of building a home and raising a family. Linda owned and operated two businesses, Portage Masonry and Portage Memorials, with her husband, Gordon Warren. She enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, volunteering and spending time with her family and grand-children. Linda was predeceased by her sister Gloria (December 21, 2006) and her mother Adeline Sinclair (January 11, 2008). Linda is survived by her husband, Gordon Warren; three sons, Joedy and wife Maureen of Sanford, MB, Randy and wife Joan of Winnipeg, MB and Kelly and wife Jaye of Kenora ON.; grandchildren, Joshua, Jordyn, Matthew, Michael, Trevor and Amber; her father Bill Sinclair of Carman; sisters Dawn Unrau of Portage and Diane Peters of Carman and their families. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Good Shepherd Parish Building Fund, 114 Countess Ave, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N OT2.   • Dearest Gordon and family, We are so sorry for your loss, Linda was a true lady and we were blessed to get to know her for such a short time. Her smile will be forever remembered and the love she showed our mom will be always be remembered as our mom was in the hospital at the same time as Linda was. Our mom Rachel Maendel died June 28th so they are now singing together in heaven.   • Not many people know this, but my aunty raised me for the first 6 months of my life. I remember all the good times out on the island, Christmases, Thanksgiving, we would all gather at their place, converse and have fun. You will be missed greatly aunty. My thoughts and prayers are with my uncle Gordon and my cousins Jody, Randy and Kelly and their families at this time.
