BARBARA GAIL HUTTON April 30, 1946 - July 11, 2013 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our "favourite" Mother and Nana. Barb was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Ken and her parents Peter and Inez Luchuck. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Rilla, Leif (Keith) and her precious grandsons, Odin, Camden, Diaz and Leland. Barb will also be greatly missed by her sister-in-law, Kim (Richard), her sister Linda, (John) and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In her most recent years Barb's greatest joy was spending time on the farm with her grandchildren, knitting Barbie clothes for the church hampers, playing on her "blueberry", watching one of her many movies and enjoying her prized collection of Painted Ponies. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Selkirk United Church in Selkirk, MB. Following the lunch at the Church, interment will take place in the Clandeboye United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing! I have so many memories of your parents. I rode for your Mom & Dad at a few horse shows, I got to wear the full costume, and show English on a beautiful Appaloosa. I felt so honoured to be asked, it was a highlight. Your parents were always ready with a kind comment or entertaining dialogue. I enjoyed their company and they made me feel like they enjoyed mine. Both Art and I extend our sympathy, may you find comfort in your own ways at this difficult time. - Posted by: Art & Deb Preachuk () on: Aug 05, 2013

  • I am sorry girls of the loss of your mom. I remember many days of playing across the road with you and your mom and dad. She will always be a part of the good memories for living across the road. But she is now with good old friends. Take care - Posted by: Regan (Friend) on: Jul 17, 2013

  • As a childhood friend to Barb (and Ken's) children I was generously enriched by the great virtues this woman shared with her family. Love, honesty and kindness ran their home and her humor filled each day. Thank you for the best stew (even though it was mutton) and thank you being a wonderful part of my childhood. - Posted by: Vivian Desjarlaid (Family friend) on: Jul 13, 2013
