HILDA WIENS (REIMER) Peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2013 encircled by the love of her family, Hilda left this world to join Jesus her Saviour, and Ted her husband to begin a new chapter in heaven. Hilda is survived by children Joanne (Rick) Friesen, Kathy (Gord) Maconnell, John (Kathryn), Debbie (Ken) Keating, Dan (Wilma), Linda (Steven) Murphy and Barb (Daryl) Dyck; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Helen, Margaret, Tina, Weldon, Rudy, Arnold and Loretta; sisters-in-law Margaret, Ruth, Vera, Audrey and Joy. Hilda was predeceased by her parents John and Marie; husband Ted; brothers John, George, Herman, Pete, and sister Mary. She was born February 28, 1928 in Colonsay, SK then travelled by covered wagon to Alberta. This was the first of many opportunities to travel to various different and exciting locations. She was proudly awarded an obstetrics award as she finished nurses training. She made good use of that training and subsequently gave birth to seven children. She loved miniatures and built many, many dollhouses. She loved life, cooking and family. She was well known for her generosity. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Special thanks to the staff at Meadowood Manor, especially Rev. Holland. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave Street, Winnipeg with interment in La Salle Mennonite Cemetery at 5:00 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to Calvary Temple or a charity of one's choice.
