Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Rick was my best friend when we were growing up on Division Street in Oshawa. Though we only saw each other sporadically after his family moved west, he popped up at my wedding, called occasionally and emailed a bit. We saw each other for coffee in 2008 when I passed through Winnipeg and then after a few emails lost contact. 7 years too late I saw the obit of his passing. RIP old friend. - Posted by: Eric Roberts (Friend) on: Jan 17, 2021

  • Goodbye Richard. We will miss you. Our ups and downs with a united front in SNA were some very good times. We moved away 4 years ago and did not get to see you much but our constant contact was a joy. You will be missed and the entire community feels it. Our thoughts and prayers are with your Mother, whom you loved very much, and your family. Rest in Peace Richard. We loved you Friend. - Posted by: Mike & Lynne Backlund (Friends and previous workers on Spence Neighbourhood Association) on: Dec 10, 2013

  • Although we didn't get together very often as adults, I enjoyed getting to know Rick again Christmas before last. He always had a project on the go, usually helping others in some way. I will miss you, Rick. I wish we'd had spent more time together over the years. - Posted by: Suzanne Hawkins (cousin) on: Jul 18, 2013
