ANNE O'DARE RODD (nee GUNN) September 5, 1947 July 17, 2013 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Anne on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Left to cherish Anne's memory are her brothers: John and Bruce (Sharon); nieces: Kathleen, Megan and Kayla; as well as other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce Rodd, parents Bruce and O'Dare Gunn, and by her brother Ron. Anne was an LPN at Deer Lodge Hospital for many years. She loved helping people, was always talkative, and very generous to those around her. Anne enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Victoria Beach. She was a long-time member of St. George's Anglican Church and an active member in the Silver Notes Choir. She will be dearly missed. A Service celebrating Anne's life will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in St. George's Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton Street. A private interment will follow at the Victoria Beach Cemetery. A special thank you goes to the paramedics and first responders, to Lynn, and all of the staff at St. Boniface MICU whose efforts are so appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
