Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERMAN RICHARD WOJCIKOWSKI (UNCLE MUNDEK) With deep sadness the family announces the passing of our dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the age of 84. Herman was born on July 7, 1929 in Tarnopol, Poland where he spent his childhood. He spent his teen years as a cadet and at age 18 he joined the Navy. He spent five years in England before he immigrated to Winnipeg in 1950, where he joined his mother, sister and brother-in-law. While attending Holy Ghost Catholic Church he joined the St. Cecilia Choir where he met Theresa, the love of his life. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage before her passing in February 2007. He is survived by his children: Christine Wojcikowski, Lucy (Peter) Dyck, Tom Wojcikowski (Brenda Sigurdson), Greg (Denise) Wojcikowski, Mary (Peter) Sigurdson, Trish (Al) Lavoie; grandchildren: Cara, Heidi (Nelson), Nick (Natalie), Tim (Kerri), Phil (Erin), Tyler, Hayley, Amanda, Rebecca, Alex and Eric; great-granddaughters: Britney, Eva, Elena, and Alia, as well as sister-in-law Gladys and her family in England, and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada. Dad was predeceased by his wife Theresa, his parents John and Rozalia, sisters Janina, Christine (in infancy), and brother Stanley. Herman worked at Bristol Aerospace for 42 years retiring in 1994. Dad joined a 5-pin bowling league and enjoyed being a part of a team for many years. Our dad was always telling people he met that he was the richest man in the world, because he was blessed with such a large family. Herman's family was his pride and joy and he would use any excuse to get together with us. The family wants to thank the wonderful and caring staff on 3 East in Riverview Care Centre, 3 West Concordia Hospital, and those who brought spiritual care as well. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier on Tuesday, July 23 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. It was with a great sense of loss to hear of Mr. Wojcikowski's passing. I always welcomed seeing him at every opportunity and take in his many "philosophies" on life! I will miss his ever-smiling face and his kind, gentle soul. May he rest in peace. With my sincerest sympathies to the family. - Posted by: Sandy Usher (friend ) on: Jul 23, 2013

I also remember Uncle Mundek as a very happy guy and an uncle I felt very drawn to when I was a child - his lovely smile, I think, is what I remember most. Am very sad to hear of his death. - Posted by: Rosemary Wright (Niece) on: Jul 23, 2013

My condolences from myself and my family to the Wojcikowski Family. I remember my uncle as a kind soft spoken man with moral ethics and very much a family man that I have great respect for. - Posted by: R.Michael Wright (Nephew) on: Jul 22, 2013
