MARGARET ROSENA BRENKO March 3, 1920 - July 21, 2013 Peacefully on the morning of Sunday, July 21, 2013, Margaret Brenko (nee Bircham) passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Margaret was predeceased by her husband John (1991), son Richard (1981), and brothers Phillip and Max, sister Nora and niece Flo. She is survived by daughter Linda (Paul) Dittberner, granddaughter Dana and grandson Darren; son Stephen, close relatives Neil and Brad Lapeire and family, sister-in-law Vickie and nephew Bill Brenko, and close relatives in Windsor, ON. Margaret's parents were both born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in the early 1900s. Mom was a caring, generous, loving and compassionate person who loved life. She enjoyed many happy times with family, neighbours and friends. Mom and Dad loved their home on Burrows Avenue and entertained a lot. Mom was the most gracious hostess anyone could ask for. Always welcoming people into her home or inviting them to sit on the front steps with her and her pets. She also loved music, travelling, dancing and her times spent at the cottage at Winnipeg Beach. The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th Floor of Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassion and care. Prior to her passing, she spent her last three years at the Maples Personal Care Home, where she enjoyed many happy times. The family would especially like to thank the staff at the Maples and Dr. Patel for their devotion to Mom over the last three years. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 26 at 11:00 a.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
