LAU SUEN Peacefully on July 23, 2013, Lau Suen passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Guangdong, China in 1935. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1975. He worked as a chef until his retirement. He loved to sing Chinese Opera and became a proud member of the Chinese Dramatic Society for many years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Shui Fong, son Robert and wife Heidi, daughter Anita, brother-in-law Kam Mun and wife Lai Kuen (Jacqueline, Jen and husband Curt), brother-in-law Philip and wife Maria, sister-in-law Yung Ying, sister-in-law Yin Ying and husband Ming Tuen (Gordon and Janet), and his aunt and cousins in Hong Kong. He was predeceased by his father Sun Man, mother Sau Ching, uncle Sun Kau and sister-in-law Yin King. The family would like to express sincere thanks to doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview, and nurses and home care workers from W.R.H.A. Palliative Care. Special thanks to nurse Alma for her support and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CancerCare Manitoba. Viewing will be on Tuesday, July 30 at 7:00 p.m. and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street.
