GLENDA LYLYK It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Glenda Lylyk, nee Peterson, on July 25, 2013 in Winnipeg at age 64. Glenda leaves to mourn her husband of 33 years Jerry, daughter Christine and son Jonathon of Winnipeg, sister Marilyn and nephew Timothy of Red Rock, Ontario, and nephew Scott (Sandra) and great-nieces Brittney and Nicole of Delta, British Columbia. She will also be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Glenda was predeceased by her parents, Mabel and John Peterson, and brother-in-law, Gladwin Young. Glenda was raised in Maryfield, Saskatchewan before moving to Winnipeg. After graduation, Glenda worked for Children's Aid, where she met and married Jerry. For years Jerry and Glenda ran their own store Harvester Fine Foods. With Christine's arrival, Glenda devoted her time to her family. Her many passions included volunteering, politics, art, and gardening. Gone from us too soon, Glenda's was a life well led. Services to be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. I'll never forget all the good times that Glenda and I shared while working at the Children's Aid Society. Glenda was a great friend, a well rounded, cheerful, grounded, salt of the earth type of woman. We also shared many happy times with our daughters; Glenda and Jerry's Christine and our Liette while they were growing up. Albert, Liette and I were shocked to hear of her passing. She will be sadly missed. I just wish that I had kept more in touch with her over the last several years. I consider myself privileged to have been a friend of Glenda's. May God bless her and her family always. Love, Leonne, Albert and Liette - Posted by: Leonne Brisson-Kelsch (friend) on: Jul 30, 2013
