JEANNINE LORETTA CHURCHILL Surrounded by many loved ones, Jeannine (Jean) Loretta Churchill died peacefully on July 13, 2013 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario. She was in her 78th year. Jean was the devoted mother of Linda, Ken, David, Laurie, and Kim (Peter) and cherished grandmother of Lisa (Chris), Christopher (Rosemary), Hannah, Sarah (Kevin), Andrew (Allison), Sean (Danielle), and Chase. Jean was also the treasured great-grandmother of Julian, Jillian, Allysa, Marie, Tenielle, and Rowan. Prized by siblings Isabel, Don, Jackie, and Dorothy, Jean was predeceased by parents Rose and Jack MacDougall, and sisters Diane and Therese. Jean is sadly missed by many relatives and friends, including Ed Churchill and Joan Foerter. At Jean's request cremation took place. Many loved ones from near and far celebrated her life at a memorial celebration on July 17 at the home of her youngest daughter Kim in Angus, Ontario. The family is grateful for the compassionate care of the Palliative Care staff of the Royal Victoria and to Jean's niece Shirley Hazleden. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Special Olympics or a charity of choice.
