JANE MARIE MARKWICK
Born: Dec 27, 1965
Date of Passing: Jul 28, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE MARIE MARKWICK December 27, 1965 - July 28, 2013 It is with great sadness and disbelief that the family of Jane Markwick announces her passing after a brief battle with cancer at the young age of 47, with her sister Margaret at her side. No one expects to outlive the youngest in the family, rest without pain sweet baby Jane. Jane was born in Brandon, MB and moved as an infant to Winnipeg where she lived most of her life. The past few years were spent in Calgary, AB where she worked at the CIBC bank. Her passion was Nascar racing; she collected memorabilia, read books on Nascar and never missed watching the races. Jane was predeceased by her dad Gerald and her brother Eddie. She is survived by her loving mother Ella, her sisters Gerry (Michael), Margaret (Billy), and her brothers Garry (Debbie), Chris (Lucy), Ron (Brenda), her only daughter Rochelle and her much loved grandchildren Alexis and Riley. Her sister Margaret lovingly cared for her as she fought this horrible disease. The family would like to thank the staff at Chinook Hospice for the care they extended to Jane and Margaret. At Jane's request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

I remember sitting in Mrs. 'M's kitchen on one of many visits to her mom's house. Playing cards, chatting, or having one of Mrs. M's marvelous meals. I still have the dainty diamond ring Jane gave me just because I liked it. We were very young then. Great memories with Jane and her family. My deepest sympathy to the Markwick family for such a senseless loss. Sorry to hear of Jane's passing. - Posted by: Jackie Monch (Old family friend) on: Sep 22, 2013

My deepest sympathy to the family. Jane and I worked at Intria together and I will miss my visits with her. Jane fought one of life's hardest battles and I saw in her eyes the will and determination to beat it at any cost. I will remember our talks of the battle. While in Calgary she fought hard. Our friendship will always be special. - Posted by: Donna Riczu (Calgary Friend) on: Aug 08, 2013
