Condolences & Memories (21 entries)

  • I am half a world away in Australia, but I often think back on the times I spent at the Janaway home. I just learned of Mrs Janaways passing tonight, after thinking of her on my drive home from work. Weekend mornings, bacon and eggs, hash browns and apple/raspberry jam on toast. I model my weekend mornings with my children by her example. A meal in her home made me feel loved, and part of her family. Dave and Travis, I'm sorry for your loss and am feeling it as well a year later. All the best from my family to yours, Geoff - Posted by: Geoff Band (Family friend and student) on: May 30, 2014

  • I came to know Bobby through my visits to Arizona to visit George and Betty and my parents, Bob and Phyllis. As we were both teachers, we had many stories to exchange. Bobby was always kind, fun, and easy to talk with. She was a special person. - Posted by: Ann Reierson (relative of George and Betty Little) on: Oct 04, 2013

  • May the songs of the angels welcome her and guide her along her way. May the smiles of the martyrs greet her as darkness turns into day. Every tear will be undone and death shall be no more, as the songs of the angels welcome her, to her heavenly home. Bobbi was a warm hearted teacher who treated all the students and teachers with respect and kindness. She was a lovely person. Rest now from your worldly toil. - Posted by: Gail Ficzycz (Colleague ) on: Sep 04, 2013

  • Our monthly "sub" dinners will never be the same without our dear Bobbi. She kept us organized, with her calendar of dates, and her phone reminders. She was always the first to arrive (at Perkins) with her smiling face, so full of wonderful stories of the schools she frequented, the colleagues she so respected, and the students who filled her with such joy. We will miss you Bobbi. Love from us all! - Posted by: Madeleine Loewen (Friend) on: Aug 10, 2013

  • With Our Deepest & Heartfelt Sympathy May your memories of the love you shared bring you comfort and peace of heart, now and through the days ahead. Her days were too few, but her love was great. "As long as we can Love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. You live on in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here. Death ends a life, not a relationship." We hope it helps in some small way to know our thoughts are with all of you in your loss. Most Sincerely Maureen and Mabel Craigon - Posted by: Maureen & Mabel Craigon (Friends) on: Aug 07, 2013

  • Bobbi stepped into my classroom / gym many times over my teaching career and was welcomed warmly by the students and staffs at the many schools we both taught at. She often told me she would sub for me anywhere as my classes were well disciplined. I always felt it had more to do with how she treated the students. Her friendly demeanor and humour will be missed by all those who knew her. - Posted by: Tim Rafter (Teacher Colleague) on: Aug 07, 2013
