JOHN K. WIEBE John K. Wiebe, 89 years, passed away peacefully at Salem Home in Winkler, MB. at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 with his family at his side. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Eva (Harder), of 66 years. They were blessed with four children and two foster children. They had two daughters, Dorothy (Henry) Dueck of Morden, Kevin, Jason (Kelly) and two great-grandchildren, Vann and Cohen, of Calgary, Jannice Wiebe of Winkler, two sons, Jack (Sharlene) of Winkler, Justin, Kyle and Mark of Winnipeg, Ernie of Plum Coulee, Chris (Todd) and Jackie (Gus), Linda Miller and family, Billy Antoine and family. He was predeceased by both parents, Jacob D. and Helena Wiebe, one brother, Henry, three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law. He is survived by Jake (Katherine), Dave (Cheryl), Abe (Diane), Cornie, Kay Steward, Helen Wieler, Susan Kehler, Nettie Wiebe, Dennis (Susan) Wiebe, and many nieces and nephews. Dad was always a hard worker and founded JKW Construction Ltd. in 1966 in Plum Coulee MB and retired to Winkler in 1993. His sons, Jack and Ernie, joined him early in the business and worked side by side with him over the years. Currently two grandsons have also joined them in the construction business. A highlight of their later years was travelling throughout Canada, South America,and the U.S. and their 10 years spent wintering in Brownsville, Texas. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Winkler Mennonite Church, 31 Willowdale Cres., Winkler, MB.
