LILLIAN MASTERS
Date of Passing: Aug 06, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MASTERS Very peacefully, at 92. What a life. War bride. Wife. Mother. Model. Mentor. Friend. Born "Lily Lindsay", she married the man of her dreams and spent 44 years celebrating being the "Lil" in "Lil and Bob". Lillian lived through a world war, a great depression, a flood of the century and the loss of a child to become a working mother, a loving wife and a genuine friend. She lived her life with grace and with gusto and if you knew her, that says it all. Lillian lives on in the love of the lives she touched. And it's quite a clan. She will always be with daughters Dawn and Candice and son Michael, grandson Adam (Danielle), granddaughter Sandra and eight extraordinary great-grandchildren... Sacha, Milla, Vivienne, Micah, Jordyn, Ethan, Isaac and Samuel. Huge thanks to the 2nd floor staff at Lions Personal Care Centre for their compassion and their commitment. Great big hugs to all of you. A private celebration is being planned for a later date. Because she said so. In lieu of flowers, Lil would be tickled pink to know that donations were made to help others at: Lions Personal Care Centre Resident Recreation Events Program Attn: Anne Williment

Mrs. Masters, Lillian, was a great, inspirational woman who accepted and loved me as one of her own the moment we met in 1999. We laughed, confided in and enjoyed each other's company during the good and low times. When our families questioned our life decisions, we gave each other strength to face the dilemma. I carry with me always her photo and memory of her unconditional love and deeply saddened to learn of her passing so far away. My sincere condolences to Michael, Candice, Dawn and Adam. leamiller1964@live.ca - Posted by: Lea Miller (Friend) on: Nov 03, 2013

Best memory is Christmas time at the house transcona singing Christmas carols. Remember the mortgage burning party there too. Great stories shared with Auntie Lil about my mom Ellen Marie who passed 25 years ago this October. Miss you both your love and light. - Posted by: ingrid and gerry hanson and family () on: Sep 05, 2013

To my beautiful Aunty Lil, my "Second Mother" as I have often called her. She was a giving, sharing, loving mother, wife to Uncle Bob, and a very fun-loving person to be around. We lost someone very special to everyone who knew her. - Posted by: Mary (Niece) on: Aug 12, 2013

"Mom M" as she was known to me was the most amazing woman. She was a wonderful caring and loving person whom taught by example. She was always there to listen and give advice (not always solicited but usually good). The most important lesson that she taught me was to never let life get so busy that you lose touch with your friends. It is because of that advice that she was a part of my life for 50+ years. Thank you "Mom M" for that and for so much more. - Posted by: Sharon and Neil Kaus (friends) on: Aug 10, 2013

Dear,Aunty Lil, what a life you had. You were the last of nine, raucous, fun, and loving siblings. I don't think I can think of a single moment when you weren't laughing, and, at the least, smiling. I can still hear you calling me "Pameelia"!!! It's going to be one hell of a Lindsay party in heaven. You will always be in my heart. XX00 - Posted by: Pam (Niece) on: Aug 10, 2013
