KENNETH (KEN) KOSMYNKA Kenneth Kosmynka passed away peacefully with his wife and sons at his side after a lengthy battle with cancer on August 3, 2013. Ken was born on June 8, 1949 in Cudworth, SK. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and left university to work at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Humboldt, SK in 1968. Ken ended his 40 years banking career with G&F Financial Group in Surrey, BC in 2008. Ken was predeceased by his father, Michael Kosmynka (1989), his mother Mary Kosmynka Brown (2013), and daughter Kim Kosmynka (2011). Ken will be sadly missed and forever loved by his wife Charleen, children Jeff (Nicole) Kosmynka, Jason Kosmynka, Daryl (Stephanie) Kosmynka, stepchildren Aron Dunn, Shelley (Steve) Dunn, Christine (Doug) Gratton, and his nine grandchildren Brandi, Chasity, Lee, Tori, Hailey, Storm, Jaida, Savannah and Delia. Ken will always be remembered for his great sense of humour and practical jokes. He loved to curl, golf, hike, garden, shuffleboard, cards and trips to Mexico. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Vanessa Bernstein and the team at the Victoria Cancer Society, Dr. Brian Martin (Kelowna), Dr. Steven Starr (Victoria), friends and neighbours and the staff at the Okanagan Hospice House where Ken spent his last four days. A Celebration of Ken's life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from Aspen Grove Golf Course, 10303 Bottom Woods Lake Road, Winfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Ken.
