Left to cherish her memory is her son Doug, daughter Heather (Ken) and son Scott (Toni), grandchildren Kevin, Laura, Courtney, Ben, Jenna and Hannah and her sister Hazel. Mum was predeceased by her husband, Gerry, whom she missed dearly, her parents, Gordon and Florence Windsor and her brothers, Garth and Doug. Mum was born on September 11, 1939 in Winnipeg. Mum moved to Pilot Mound, Manitoba with her parents in 1941. Mum and Dad were married on June 14, 1958 and settled in Winnipeg, where they raised their family on Marshall Bay. Our Mum had a flair for style and always looked her best. She loved to decorate and was enjoying her new home at Dakota House. Mom loved reading, shopping (especially on trips to Fargo with Heather) and her Timmie's coffee. Grandma loved and was loved by her grandchildren. She was proud of each of them as they brought so much joy to her life. We will miss our Mum and Grandma very much. We are thankful that her suffering is over and she is now at peace. We Love You Mum. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. A private family burial will take place in Crystal City, Manitoba. So very sorry, my thoughts are with your family. Lois had shared with me some photos of when the house on Marshall Bay was being built, there was one in particular of her sitting in the window frame with her great big smile. I will always remember that, as it has stuck with me. She was such a kind person and always talked so proudly of her family. - Posted by: Liz Cale () on: Aug 15, 2013

My deepest sympathy to you all. Although I hadn't seen Lois in many years, it was always nice to count her as one of the family. - Posted by: Linda {Burkett} Michie (cousin) on: Aug 14, 2013

Our deepest sympathy Doug, Heather, Scott and families. You won't remember me, because you were very young, but, in some of my old pictures, there is one of Doug and Heather at our son's birthday party, this would have been about 1964 or 1965, so you wouldn't remember. We lived in the housing units on McGillvary, and your mother and I visited when you all lived on Marshall Bay. But then we bought a house in Charleswood, and we didn't see each other much. Your Mom and I go back to our early banking days, in 1956. We were all good friends, your Mom may have mentioned her friends from the Bank of Montreal, Higgins and Main Branch. Your Mom and Dad drove to our wedding out of town in 1959, with 2 other banking couples, in your dad's new car, and it got so dirty because of the rain and roads, but they laughed about it, that their new car got so dirty. I called your mom when I read that your dad died, how sorry I was to hear that, we had said we would meet for lunch, but because we lived so far apart, I'm so sorry we didn't do that. She never mentioned an illness, so I hope she didn't suffer for long. I just want to say, we have such good memories of spending time with your parents, they were such a loving couple too, I remember. With our sincerest sympathy for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you in the days to come. Love, Judy and Jack Tait. - Posted by: Judy and Jack Tait (Old friends) on: Aug 14, 2013

We fondly remember our friendly coffee conversations- including an ever present showing of family pictures and sharing of her family times. Tim Hortons and visits to the Pembina Pancake house will not be the same. - Posted by: Marilyn/Don Bartley (relatives) on: Aug 14, 2013
