I have many fond memories of Lucille. We lived about half a dozen houses apart on Langside Street and started kindergarten together at Somerset School. I still have the class photo. .. me with my buster brown haircut and Lucille with her beautiful dark ringlets! When she first started driving, she swore me to secrecy when we went through a red light at the corner of Sherbrook and Ellice in Aunty Minnie’s ‘old’ car. I’m sure she’d forgive me for sharing that story. We all enjoyed bowling in the Saturday morning league as teenagers. We went to Tech Voc grad together, Lucille and Don, who were very much in love, and me with the late Gordon Schultz.
